We are interested in what systems do to people and what people can do back.

We are also digital natives born into a world where floppy disks, dial-up, VCRs, landlines and fax machines existed alongside the burgeoning world wide web. We are drawn to the relationships between forgotten analog and modern digital, and how humans interact with and shape their lives around ubiquitous yet transitory technologies.

Television is a useful example of our thinking: historically one of the most powerful tools for propaganda, a top-down exercise where only institutions of sufficient power could decide what ended up on your screen. We take that object, place it somewhere else entirely, make it respond, turn viewers into participants. Same technology, different context, different meaning entirely.

We communicate through interactive, immersive and mind-bending experiences that stimulate the senses and expand perception.

We are developers by trade who found that the most interesting applications of software engineering lay far outside a browser window. Our practice brings web development disciplines and the thinking that underpins them into the spaces of art making, creative expression and political and societal discourse.

Our work takes in the world (human movement, voice, environmental data, sound) and transforms it into something you can see, hear or feel. The input is always real, the output is always alive.

The questions we ask in our work are the questions we are actually asking ourselves. We make the installations we want to exist in the world. Inspiration comes from our own lived experience, from a deep and ongoing curiosity about what it means to be human right now, in this particular moment. We follow our own spiritual and philosophical threads and let them find form in the work.
